Dr Rachel Ward has more than 25 years’ experience in international strategy and standards for the food chain, covering emerging issues, contaminants, food allergens, labelling and claims to ensure effective consumer risk protection. Rachel has BSc (Hons) Applied Biochemistry, a PhD from Nottingham University in in vitro skin toxicology models, and experience across regulatory affairs, safety and quality assurance. She led risk management for PepsiCo Europe on food and promotions. Since 2011, Rachel has worked on various food, food supplements and medicinal food projects for SME, manufacturers and retailers as an independent consultant.
