Serena has worked in the NHS since she qualified in 1992. With a background in Hospital Medicine, she qualified in General Practice in 2000. She has worked as a GP mainly in North London in a variety of health centres, including the walk in centre based in the A&E department of the Whittington Hospital. In 2007, Serena started her career in cosmetovigilance, based at L’Oreal UK’s head office in Hammersmith. Since September 2009, Serena has helped to develop a formal cosmetovigilance process for The Body Shop International and is their medical advisor overseeing cases from all TBS markets round the globe. Responsibilities include process development, cosmetovigilance training, supporting customer care, causality assessments, referral for patch testing, management of SUEs, medico-legal advice.
